Learning

Spring Grove is fortunate to have a well qualified, enthusiastic staff who use a range of teaching styles to encourage all children to develop their abilities and talents.

Spring Grove provides an appropriate and engaging, broad and balanced curriculum, which includes the National Curriculum. The educational experiences that our children receive help to prepare them for the future and aim to nurture a love of learning which stays with each individual for life.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND FAMILY LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

At different times of the year, a range of extra-curricular clubs and activities are organised by staff and outside providers, which take place either at lunch time or after school. These clubs offer the children opportunities to experience a range of new activities and/or enhance their skills in an area of specific interest.

Activities offered have included a range of sports, drama, music, languages and ICT. Details will be sent out during the term when the activities are planned. We also organise various Family Learning activities throughout the year to involve both adults and children. These have covered areas such as: first aid, sewing, art and craft, yoga, healthy eating and gardening. The school also provides information about a wide range of interesting events, opportunities and clubs that take place throughout the year at other venues local to the school.
