FOSGS

Who are we and what do we do?

Friends of Spring Grove School (FOSGS) are a committee of parents and school staff that organises fundraising events for the benefit of the education and wellbeing of children at our school.

The charity has a long history, dating back to the 1990s, and the committee members are keen to continue the strong community legacy. We are a separate entity to the school’s leadership, and coordinate our activities closely with the Headteacher and Deputy headteacher. School staff can also volunteer to be part of the PTA.

All parents/carers of students of Spring Grove Primary School are automatically members of this charity group. It’s a great way to be involved with the school and get to know other parents.

The FOSGS committee and volunteers organise events each term that helps bring the community together in a fun way while raising important funds for the school. We also run other activities such as arts competitions and afterschool sales. Got any questions? Ideas? Want to find out how to get involved? Please contact us.

OUR FUNDRAISING GOALS

CURRENT KEY GOAL: to refresh the technology available to children in school, with a minimum of 15 new ipads. We are looking for sponsorship and grants to help us achieve this faster.

Our funds also regularly go towards arts and crafts activities, prizes for competitions, and subsidising the year 6 leavers’ activities or hoodies.
