Gingerbread Man in Nursery

Nursery have been enjoying the story of the Gingerbread man and so we decided to bake one. When we went to get him out of the oven he had run away. Some of us heard him singing “Run, run as fast as you can you can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread man!” We were very determined and tried to track him down. Mrs Tyler saw him running in the corridor, she had to tell him we walk in the school but he carried on running. What a sad choice! Nursery followed the clues and eventually found him. He was hiding in our group room. Nursery took a vote to see if we should eat him. It was unanimous – we all wanted to eat him!

We thought of some words to describe the gingerbread man. Some of us thought he was “delicious”, “yummy” and “tasty” other thought he tasted “not nice” , “disgusting” and “yucky”. Other words we thought of were “hard”, “sticky”, “soft” (it really depended on the bit of the gingerbread man we ate!).
