‘Out of hours’ notification instructions for positive COVID result

Parents and Carers please be aware of the following information and relevant arrangements from the DFE regarding positive cases in the holidays.
When a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school, the school does not need to be contacted. Parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Track and Trace.
For the first 6 days after teaching ends, if a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms within 48 hours of being in school, so from 1:15pm on Wednesday 31st March to 1:15pm on Friday 2nd April the school is asked to assist in identifying close contacts and advising self-isolation, as the individual may have been infectious whilst in school. Please contact Mrs Colley on: head@springgrove.hounslow.sch.uk if your child develops symptoms within 48 hours of school closing and then receives a positive test.
Beyond 6 days after the final day of teaching, school staff are not asked to play a role in any contact tracing, so you will not receive an email or phone call from Mrs Colley or any other member of the school asking you to self- isolate beyond this point.
